Wingmasters | The Ultimate Inter-School Bird Quiz
Wingmasters is an exciting, high-energy inter-school quiz designed to test students’ knowledge, curiosity, and passion for birds.
Organised by Early Bird, Wingmasters celebrates the young nature-lover’s engagement with the world of birds by stimulating friendly competition, intriguing questions, and lively activities. Participants stand to win attractive prizes from Avium, WWF India, and Early Bird. The quiz will be held on 15 November 2025 at Jayamahal Palace, under the auspices of the Nature In Focus Festival 2025 – India’s premier platform for nature storytelling and conservation.
About the Quizmaster: Bijoy Venugopal is a Bengaluru-based communications professional, avid birder, travel writer, and founder-editor of the nature blog – The Green Ogre.
Last date for registration is November 12th, 2025. Registration is free and there is no entry fee for participation.
Quiz Guidelines
Eligibility:
- All schools located in Bengaluru are invited to participate.
- This quiz is also open to home schoolers in teams of three. Please read the instructions while filling up the form.
Participant Criteria
- Students from Grades 5 to 10 are eligible.
- Each school can send one team.
- Teams must consist of three members.
Important Requirements
- Schools must provide an official permission including the names of the quiz participants.
- Please register your team using the form. Spot registrations will not be entertained.
- Participants are required to bring their school ID cards.
- Participants must be accompanied by a parent, teacher, an officially authorized staff member or other responsible adult. In the case of home schoolers, a parent or guardian must accompany the participant.
- Participants must report to the venue by 7:45 AM. The written prelims will begin at 8:05 AM.
Event Format
1. Registration : 7:45 AM – 8:00 AM
Details required for registration:

- Name of the school
- Team members’ names (maximum of three members per team)
- Team name – pick a funny (or punny) name for your team inspired by birds!
2. Written Prelims: 8:05 AM – 8:30 AM
- Written round with a mix of multiple choice, short answer, and visual (image-based) formats that test general knowledge about birds.
- Top 5 teams qualify for the Finals
3. Finals : 9:00 AM – 11 AM
- On-stage quiz conducted live.
- Special audience prizes to be won!
