Paigam Organization with the collaboration of Jai Naga Baiga Yuva Sangathan are celebrating a one day awareness and discussion event named as “Birds, Baiga and Climate discussion”  on 12th November in the Songhoghra, village post Bhutna, near Birsa.

This event will be celebrated on the birthday of  Salim Ali (the birdman of india), it is a step towards awareness of environment conservation through birdwatching and discussion on climate change, connecting the traditional knowledge of Baiga tribal community and local ecological knowledge and sustainable lifestyle.

About the event host : I am Vijay Ramteke a resident of Kanha National Park, I have been working in the conservation field from 2021, I learned and developed birding skills while I was a green hub fellow. Since then I worked in research projects in Nauradehi WLS, Satpura tiger reserve and Mandu a plateau in semi-arid Malwa region.
I have a youth led organization in Kanha where we have been organizing various events (Such as summer camps, nature walks, classroom sessions, and filmscreening) for kids.
