Post-Event Summary
Spending time with Class 5 children was such a joyful experience! I genuinely enjoyed the session, especially seeing their curiosity and excitement about birds.
The children enthusiastically imitated different bird sounds using their mouths, which created many funny and memorable moments. One interesting activity was identifying birds through their beaks. Children tried to guess what a bird might eat just by looking at its beak and imagined its possible habitat. Their expressions, guesses and questions made the session even more enjoyable.
Through these activities, children started observing the birds around them more carefully. They also understood how a birdās beak is connected to its food habits, how birds contribute to the food cycle, and how nature has its own beautiful food distribution system.
It was wonderful to bring some activities and learnings from my training into the classroom and see children engaging with them so enthusiastically.
As homework, I asked them to observe birds around their homes and draw different beak shapes.
The best part was seeing children move beyond simply knowing about birds to actually observing, questioning and connecting with nature around them. It was a beautiful learning experience for both the children and me
