Join us for a morning of exploration and observation at the serene Lingambudhi Lake, one of Mysuru’s most scenic birding spots. This perennial freshwater lake and its surrounding environment are a haven for a rich diversity of resident and migratory birds and butterflies. 

This guided bird walk in collaboration with Early Bird as part of Young Birders’ Month, is specially designed for young participants aged 10 -18 years to learn about bird behavior, appreciate local species, and connect more deeply with the natural world around them. During this guided walk, participants will:

• Observe a variety of local birds in their natural habitats, learning to identify them by their colors, movements, and unique behaviors.
• Participate in an interactive discussion on the flora and fauna of Lingambudhi Lake, exploring how diverse species of plants and animals coexist in this vibrant ecosystem.

Participation Guidelines

• Wear comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. Bring a water bottle (and binoculars if available)
• Each child must be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the session.
• By participating, you consent to photography during the event and grant permission to the Early Bird & Young Birders Month to use selected images for non-commercial educational and outreach purpose.

This session is perfect for curious young minds – whether you’re a beginner taking your first step into birdwatching or an experienced nature lover eager to learn more.
