Vetal Tekdi is a birding hotspot located right in the heart of Pune city, with a more than 250 bird species. It also has a variety of ecosystems – namely woodland, grassland and wetland. Winter is nearly here, and so are the migratory species; which will make the trail much more interesting. Meeting Place: Banyan Tree near the ARAI quarters.

Time: 7.00 am sharp.
Date: 05/11/2026 Trail duration: 2 to 2.5 hours covering a distance of around 2 to 3 km.
Tips:
– Wear dark clothing, so as to blend in (gray/blue/black/brown) and boots suitable for the hill terrain.
– Carry a cap and a bottle of water.
