Young Birders Month 2026 – Inaugural Bird Walk at KBR National Park
WWF-India’s Environment Education Division, Hyderabad Office, is organising an inaugural bird walk at KBR National Park on 1 November 2026 to mark the beginning of Young Birders Month. This initiative aims to promote birdwatching, introduce beginners to the fascinating world of birds, and encourage young people to explore and appreciate urban biodiversity.

The walk will be led by young birders Riyaansh and Daarshik, avid bird enthusiasts and wildlife photographers, who will share their field experiences and help participants discover birds through their calls, colours, behaviour and habitats. Participants will learn the basics of birdwatching, develop observation skills and understand the importance of urban green spaces as habitats for birds and other wildlife.

The activity also aims to inspire children and young nature enthusiasts to connect with nature beyond the classroom, cultivate curiosity and adopt responsible birdwatching practices. By creating opportunities for young birders to share their knowledge and experiences, the initiative seeks to nurture the next generation of nature enthusiasts and conservation advocates.

Date: 1 November 2026
